What are MicroRNA and Small interfering RNA?

MicroRNA are single-stranded RNA about 22 nucleotides long, which form a complex with proteins. They target specific mRNA molecules, and regulate them by degrading them or blocking their translation.

Small interfering RNA are similar to microRNA in size and function.
